A list of helmet events. Especially tied helmets. 13 events. *Jan. 18 - 20, 1992. 1/18 13:00UT on. The pivoting arch formation. See below. HM *Jan. 19, 1992. N14E16. KH HM There are two SXT features/events that are in the general region and time frame you indicate. One is a large arcade angling up towards the NE limb at a fairly steep angle to the equator. This exihibits an interesting helmet structure that seems to move down the aracade, rotating somewhat as it appears to move forwards. See above. There is also a smaller arcade near the base of the large one, aligned east-west (prepedicularly). I suspect that this is what you are seeing, as it is considereably more compact and brighter. See above. *Jan. 25, 1992. SW limb. Large helmet. HM *Jan. 31, 1992. S20 E40. Pretty, bright, small helmet. HM *Feb. 21, 1992. 4:00UT - 22:44UT. S20 W10 (?). AT/HM Beautiful T & A event, also S to arcade type. Long thin axial loop seems to trigger in the middle, and blows followed by an arcade. DB. Noticeable changes in neighboring coronal hole. Seems to lead to a tied helmet. *Mar. 8, 1992. N center. Nice small helmet over top another loop. HM/AT *Mar. 11, 1992. 15:00UT on. NE. Expanding helmet. Starts very small & grows rapidly. HM/AT *Mar. 31, 1992. Near W limb equator. HM/AT Rising arches in the Suigyuu spot group, from bell shape, then "collapse" and flare. As the flare dies the loops expand as typical helmet, tied to the north. [Same as listed on the 4th, Apr. ?? check] *Apr. 4, 1992. check the date. HM Helmet in the main spot group. Top curls over and attaches to the north, near the Suigyuu (?). *May 1, 1992. Near Sun center. Small tied helmet. HM *May 27 - 28, 1992. 5/27 08:00UT - 5/28 12:00UT. S center. Helmet and A & T (?). Is a tied helmet? HM/AT *July 2 - 6, 1992. Starts NE. HM AR shows a Connestoga structure very well, including highly inclined loops at the ends. South end has helmet and intereactions, north end is beautiful nested potential loops. *July 25, 1992. N0E20 (?). HM Two loops at the end of small faint arcades reconnect with a Y reconnection, yielding a small tied helmet. One can clearly see the far legs of the Y.
