Meet Alan

Alan H. McAllister, CCHt., PhD-phys., is a transpersonal psychotherapist who helps people to realize their full potential as human beings. He uses a unique blend of hypnotherapy, counseling, and energy psychology to assist clients to have increased awareness, freedom of choice, find their power to create the life you want to live. He creates a safe space for you to explore and develop all aspects of yourself; emotionally, mentally, intuitionally, and spiritually. If you have a life goal he can help you develop the resources to attain it.

Alan has studied energy and energy psychology with intellect and intuition, mind, body, and spirit for over 25 years. His training includes an intensive 9 month training in Counseling Clinical Hypnotherapy at the Colorado School for Counseling Hypnotherapy in Longmont, CO. He is certified as a hypnotherapist by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association and registered as an unlicensed psychotherapist in the Colorado DORA database.

Alan combines his psychotherapy training with 10 years of study and practice as a Spiritual Counselor and Energy Healer, having completed a 2.5 year program at The Psychic Horizons Center in Boulder CO. He teaches practical tools for working with the energy in an individual's space and in relation to others. He believes firmly in the power of amusement to ease us through the growth processes in life and to help open the door to the magical aspects of the world.

Solidly grounded in the science of energy, Alan received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Texas in Austin in 1991. He spent roughly 15 years working as a professional researcher specializing in the dynamics of solar magnetic fields and their effects on the Earth. Visit Alan's Solar Physics page if you are interested.

Alan has practiced working directly with energy through Tai Chi and Yoga for 25+ years, and also has experience with the energetic arts of Rieki (master level), Aikido, and Shiatsu.

This wide range of experience, and 5 years living and working in Japan, has led Alan to conclude that all conversations involve elements of translation. He is sensitive to the power and subtlety of words in communicating with others or with ourselves, bringing these skills to his role as counselor/therapist. He is both willing, and generally able, to work in a wide range of "dialects".

Alan believes strongly that we all have unique experiences as human beings physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Therefore we each have our own path towards both divinity and our own true self. He looks forward with enthusiasm to meeting and working with those individuals who can best benefit from his insight and compassionate support to help guide them on their journey.
